A local community found plating waste in a field during the construction of an athletic field. The facility was a former municipal dump that had not been used for over 30 years. Villa Environmental Consultants, Inc., was contracted by the property owner to characterize the contamination and develop a closure plan which was agreeable with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
